Traditional Chinese Medicine & Acupuncture
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is a holistic system of care that has been practiced for thousands of years. Rather than focusing solely on a specific symptom, TCM considers the individual as a whole and seeks to understand patterns of imbalance within the body.
As a Registered Traditional Chinese Medicine Acupuncturist (R.Ac.), Mel draws on a range of TCM techniques to create individualized treatments based on each client’s needs. Her approach may include acupuncture, cupping, Gua Sha, and moxibustion (Moxa), with treatments supporting the body’s natural processes and promoting balance, relaxation, and overall well-being.
TCM treatments may be beneficial for a wide range of concerns, including muscular and joint discomfort, stress, headaches, menstrual concerns, and other conditions. Mel combines her extensive healthcare experience with her knowledge of TCM to provide thoughtful, individualized care.
