Be’s Yoga Teacher Training Program is designed to be accessible to people of all ages, abilities, and fitness levels.
Whether it’s your plan to teach, or develop a deeper personal practice, you’ll find be’s program inspirational and transformative. It will give you the solid foundation that you need to practice and teach safely, skillfully and with integrity.
Nobody fails! It’s our commitment to you. Our program is divided into modules to accommodate different learning curves, work, and family-related commitments. Modules may be completed in succession, or individually collected over time, as your schedule allows. Participants may also choose to repeat modules at no extra cost. It is our mission to offer ongoing support and mentorship until each and every student succeed in achieving their goals.
Multiple styles of yoga will be explored during this training program, including Hatha, Vinyasa, Hot, Yin, and Ashtanga.
Your tuition fees include unlimited classes at be’s for one full year from the course commencement date. (Early birds get to start as early as the deposit is received!)
Our program is registered with both Yoga Alliance (RYS 200) and Canadian Yoga Alliance (CRYS-Gold).
Study with your favorite Be’s teachers! They happen to be among the best and most sought-after in the GTA.
You start teaching from day one of the program! Our Teacher Training will give you the tools required, and the confidence, to actually get out there and teach. The most common complaint we hear from people seeking out Teacher Training after already completing 200hrs elsewhere is,‘I don’t feel anywhere near ready to teach after graduating my teacher training.’ This is why it was imperative to us to develop a Teacher Training that ensures you’ll feel confident in your ability to teach upon completion of be’s Teacher Training Program.

“Teacher training really opened my eyes to the world of yoga by showing me so many different aspects of yoga that aren’t highlighted in a class. It covered the physical and spiritual teachings of yoga and how to go about teaching that in a class and you start teaching almost right away so you get a lot of practice in! They really want you to develop your teachings and help you do that in a supportive and communal way!”

Meet Sheena
Sheena is a passionate and skilled yoga educator with over 16 years of teaching experience and two decades of dedicated personal practice. Known for her depth of knowledge, approachable teaching style, and love of learning, Sheena brings an integrated and embodied perspective to the practice and teaching of yoga.
Her 500-hour designation includes a foundational 200-hour training with Colin Mathews (Kula Yoga) & Kinndli McCollum (co-founder of Power Yoga Canada) and a 300-hour advanced certification with Mark Stephens. She has gone on to complete extensive additional training in a wide range of disciplines, including 50 Hours Detox & Chakra based practices with Sean Corne, 50 hours meditation training with Lori Anne Kamer, and 100 hours of Advanced Prana Flow with Maria Garre, whose influence opened the door to Ayurveda. She has also explored the emotional and somatic aspects of yoga with Bo Forbes, studied Core Strength Vinyasa with Sadie Nardini, dove deep into Anatomy with Ray long and spent 15 hours with Tom Myers learning about fascial release and biomechanics. Sheena has also completed restorative yoga training with Beth Rutty, her Kids yoga training with Malaa and has had extensive training in prenatal yoga, post natal yoga and pelvis health care.
A lifelong student, Sheena holds university degrees in Psychology and Political Science. Her curiosity about the human mind and its patterns naturally led her to yoga philosophy, which has since become one of her greatest passions. She specializes in sharing the timeless teachings of yoga in ways that are grounded, accessible, and deeply relevant to modern life—particularly those addressing the mind’s role in suffering and our capacity for transformation.
Sheena's ongoing work is inspired by the teachings of Byron Katie and Dr. Joe Dispenza. Her classes and trainings blend alignment, breath, philosophy, and soulful inquiry, empowering students to rewire limiting habits—mentally, physically, and spiritually—with clarity and compassion.
Sheena is also trained in STOTT Mat Pilates and Reformer Pilates, is a Reiki Master, and is currently pursuing a 1000-hour Ayurvedic Practitioner designation. At Be Yoga & Wellness, she teaches yoga and Reformer Pilates and serves as co-lead teacher trainer, Ayurvedic coach, and operations manager.
Off the mat, Sheena lives a full and joyful life with her husband of over 23 years, their two sons, a loyal Rhodesian Ridgeback, and a flock of quirky backyard chickens. Whether she’s in the studio, the forest, or the garden, Sheena brings warmth, wisdom, and a deep belief in our shared capacity to grow and heal.
